Day 1: Picking up the brushes again

Well, it's been a couple of years and a lot of health issues since I last touched a miniature painting brush. For some reason I decided that I wanted to paint miniatures today. I started digging out my miniature stuff. All my Reaper and Vallejo paints looked good. I even had some prepped and half painted minis ready. Woot!

After tearing everything apart; I discovered that I didn't have any brushes. Well shit. I managed to find two tiny Vallejo detail brushes that I'd never used. They were tiny though so not really fit for basecoating. After bitching for a while I decided that I was going to paint today no matter what. Fortunately I own a lot of makeup crap so I found a rarely used eyeliner brush and went to work.

The eyeliner brush was surprisingly good! My blending skills are sort of rusty, and the Vallejo brushes have hairs that are slightly to long for what I prefer for detail work, but I'm happy with the result. I managed to finish a tiny (and hideous) snowman I sculpted myself. I still need to do the base.

I also need to figure out a way to take photographs. My expensive lamps and photo boxes were given away ages ago. Oh well, where there is a will there is a way.
